RAPPAHANNOCK County schools have “a clear, firm policy relating to possession, use or distribution of illegal drugs on school property or at school sponsored functions.”
The policy was adopted by the Board three years ago and it is the desire of the Board and school administration that parents of school age children be reminded of the important points in this policy. The policy was explained as follows:
‘‘Should school authorities have reason to believe an individual is involved in possession, use or distribution of an illegal drug on school property or at a school sponsored function, law ehforcement officials are to be notified and asked to investigate. Parents of the individual and the superintendent of the schools are to be notified.
