Mrs. Corder
Victoria Scott Corder of Amissville died atherres,. idence August 15, 1974. She ~*'was 73, the daughter of the late William B. and Leslie Settle Scott of Culpeper County. She was a member of the Amissville Baptist Church.
A funeral service was held Saturday at the Geest Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Floyd T. Binns.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Harry L. Mayhugh of Fairfax, Mrs. George C. Dowell of Culpeper and Mrs. Vivian Hogue of Amissville; three sons, William C. of Quantico, Elmer T. of Alexandria and Edward H. Corder of Portsmouth; 22 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Irene Norman of Front Royal. □
L. B. Houghton
Lamar Byrd Houghton of Gallatin, Mo. died July 16, 1974. He was the youngest of eight children of Thomas and Martha Ann Houghton and was bom July 11, 1882 in Rappahannock County, Sperryville. In December 1904 he married Lillian Scott and they moved to Pattonsburg, Mo. They had one son, Marvin David Houghton, who survives him and now lives in Arlington. Lillian died the following year and Marvin was reared by his grandparents, Mr. and
