THE Rappahannock High School Panthers opened the 1974-75 season Tuesday at Stonewall Jack - son High School in Mt. Jackson. The Panthers have been working hard since November 1 and appear to be a better balanced team than at any time in recent years. The loss of Harry Jordan via graduation last year will be felt, but compensation wiU be made with a strong bench.
Coach Preston Douglas has not named a first string, but will use his reserves often to keep a strong, rested team in the game. He also feels that a lack of height can be made up with speed and team work.
Returning lettermen are Seniors Andy Nichols and Jim Lum with Juniors Dale Frye, Mike Tupper and Mike Smoot making up the remaining lettermen.
Others who played J.V. basketball last year but who will contribute greatly this year are Aubrey Frye, Donnell Carter, Cecil Smoot , Ronnie Nicholson, Barry Adkins and Larry Brown.

HOMEMAKERS CLUB
Tuesday December 17 at 7:30 p.m. the Flint Hill Homemakers Club will meet at the home of Mrs. Paul Miller.
