Carter

James Russell carter, 69, of Washington died Monday November 17, 1975 in Warren Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Rappahannock County and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, Sperryville.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Carter, one son, Morris M. Carter of Front Royal; three brothers, Ernest Carter and Harry Carter of Pittsburg, Pa., and Roosevelt Carter of Washington, D. C.; two sisters, Mrs. Viola and Mrs. Edith Patterson of Washington, D. C. and two grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Friday at Hopewell Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. U. S. Brokenburr and interment will follow in the family section of the church cemetery.
