Rappahannock’s Supervisors will be asked at their meeting next Thursday, December 4, to apply to the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for grant funds for planning and design of a sewage collection and treatment system for Sperryville, George Long of Mackie Engineering Company in 'Charlottesville said on Wednesday.
The county Water and Sanitation Authority will ask the Supervisors to file the application since HUD will only consider applications filed by elected governments or agencies, Long said.
