The result of mdffl^ of wort. by homemakers across Virginia was revealed in Washington, D. C., recently when members of the Virginia Extension Homemakers Council presented their Bicentennial tapestry to the Extension Division of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg for the Commonwealth of Virginia. The tapestry project began last January. The tapestry is eightfeet-eight inches high, weighs nearly 50 pounds, contains 104, 12inch needlepoint squares depicting historical, geographical and other themes.
