THE RABBIT hunting situation is looking up in a few areas this season but the overall picture is still for only spotty success for rabbit hunters. Some areas, however, are reporting more rabbits than last year and in a few places rabbits are actually abundant.
Although no firm statistics are yet available on the archery season, preliminary reports indicate that the hunters afield with bow and arrow did very well. The military areas played an important part, with Quantico Marine Base providing archers with 75 deer.
