Mr. and Mrs. Frank Duncan were in Richmond Sunday to visit Jack Compton at McGurie Veteran’s Hospital. Last weekend the Duncans were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Padgett, Mike and Don in Williamsburg. □
Head-On Collision
Injuries were minimal in a headon collision of two vehicles on Route 211 west of Sperryville Tuesday morning about 7:30. A 1974 Plymouth State Police vehicle and a 65 Chevrolet were involved and both were declared totaled.
According to Sgt. H.D. Brown, Trooper Shelton Weatherholtz of Luray skidded on the icy highway at Beech Springs and struck the Chevrolet which was owned and operated by Franz Lorenz Greis of Silver Spring, Md. The most serious injury was a broken finger sustained by Steve Proctor of Silver Spring, a passenger with Greis. □
