Calvin “Bill” Racer was elected president of the Rappahannock Lions Club at the club’s regular business meeting on April 14 at Hampton Inn. Racer is a native of Rappahannock county, does general farming in Washington, and has been involved in many community “good neighbor” projects, in addition to being a member of the local Lions club for the past five years.
Other officers elected were: Secretary-treasurer, Kermit Weakley; First vice president, Andrew Pennington; Second vice president, Philip Butten; Third vice president, Howard Holschuh; Lion Tamer, Barclay Pendleton, Jr.; and Tail Twister, John Schultz.
