Adopt a new subsection (a-2) to Regulation R6-3 to read as follows:
Notwithstanding other provisions of this chapter, it shall be lawful to take deer of either sex during the archery seasons provided for in subsections (a) and (a-1) of this regulation, provided that the taking of such deer is within the total daily and seasonal bag limits provided for deer.
Amend Regulation R6-3.1 (a) to read as follows:
It shall be lawful to hunt deer with primitive weapons (muzzle-loading gists) on the last six hunting days prior to the second Monday in November on the following Commission-owned lands: Clinch Mountain Wildlife Management Area, Gathright Wildlife Management Area, G. Richard Thompson Wildlife Management Area, Goshen-Little North Mountain Wildlife Management Area and on the Jefferson National Forest, north of New River.
Amend Regulation R6-3.1 (c) to read as follows:
A muzzle-loading gun for the purpose of this regulation means a single shot flint lock or side lock percussion weapon, forty five caliber or larger, firing a single projectile loaded from the muzzle of the weapon and propelled by at least fifty grains of black powder. If telescopic sights are used, such weapon shall not be deemed to be a muzzle-loading gun.
Amend Regulation R6-5.1 to read as follows:
The bag limit for deer shall be one a day and two a license year, either sex, on Camp Peary, Cheatham Annex, Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge (sika and white-tailed), Fort Eustis, Harry Diamond Laboratory, Langley Air Force Base, Naval Weapons Station, Parramore Island and Presquile Federal National Wildlife Refuge.
