Luncneon, rull or partial, will be served by the ladies of the First Baptist Church at the Country Store, as well as at Trinity Church parish hall by the W.V.F.D. Ladies Auxiliary. These two spots expect to serve supper, too.
Probably the most dramatic and moving portion of the program will come at 2 p.m. when, in concert with every other community in these United States, Washington’s church bells will begin ringing out in the belfry of the First Baptist Church to be followed successively by the other church bells, ending with the courthouse bell. Throughout this progressive pealing it is requested that the bells be heard in silence until the end.
