Phil Irwin released about 100 weevils in May to control musk thistle activity on his farm outside Flint Hill. Phyllis Irwin said her husband brought the weevils back from an agricultural conference at VPI that was addressed by Dr. Kok. The weevils seem to have adjusted to their relocation since the Irwins have noticed signs of weevil activity.
