IN MEMORIAM
In memory of our Mother, Eugie B. Leake, who passed away 1 year ago, June 18, 1975. Our hearts ache with loneliness, Our eyes shed many a tear, God knows how much we miss you, As it ends the first sad year. Loving thoughts still wander, To the spot where you are laid, In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. I remember when we were happy, Other times troubled and sad, But most of all I remember, The wonderful mother we had. As I stand by your grave, and place flowers there with care, I can almost hear you say, I know you are there. When days are dark and lonely, And everything seems to go wrong, I seem to hear you whisper, Cheer up and carry on.
