Grades five, six, and seven performed in this event. Songs were presented by first grade pupils and the second graders presented a spiritual.
Following a short intermission the ballet from ‘‘Suite No. 1” by Peter Tchaikovsky was presented by grades 1, 2, and 3. Children studying violin under Mrs. Elaine McClary delighted the audience with a French folk song, “Au Claire de La Lune.” Piano recitals by pupils from Mrs. Sandra Massie’s class completed the program.
ON Tuesday, June 15, films were followed by the annual “ Pentagon” (five event sports competition). Two teams, the Sparans and the Athenians, competed in running, softball throw, broad jump, soccer and swimming. The Athenians were the winning team.
