Local Scouts
in ‘Olympics*
Rappahannock Cub Scout Pack 123 participated in the Cub Scout Olympics held at Randolph Macon Academy, Front Royal Saturday, August 7. Among the events which comprised the Olympics were a scavenger hunt, leaf, bird and tool identification, first aid, obstacle course, pine wood derby, box golf, basketball and relay races. All activities were held indoors because of inclement weather. At the end of the events the group was refreshed with a swim in the school’s indoor pool.
Scouts attending included Richie Eastham,. Jack Jenkins, Jeff Burke, Jeff Porter, William Fletcher, Bruce Frye, Randy Hitt, Henry Hitt, Nicholas Bischoff, Wayne Fisher and Mike Fisher. Leaders going were Mr. and Mrs. John R. Eastham and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Fisher.
Other adults visiting were Mrs. Dale Burke, Mrs. Helen Fletcher, Miss Jackie Porter, Mrs. Shirley Hitt and Mrs. Marguerita Bischoff. Edie Eastham and Louis Fisher accompanied the group also.
