The Superintendent also reported that the base for new lockers at the high school was installed and awaiting the arrival of the lockers, he hoped before the school’s opening August 30. Cafeteria work is also progressing and some painting is being done. All equipment maintenance has been done at the schools and ready for the fall opening.
A parking policy for high school students had been considered and discussed at a previous meeting and was further hashed over at last Tuesday’s Board meeting. The suggestion of a parking decal for each vehicle met with approval, as well as the regulation that cars driven to school by students should be locked and not moved until the close of the school day.

WATER REQUEST
The Washington Town Council has requested that the residents of the town refrain from using water unnecessarily. Water is low and the pumps are being used 12 to 24 hours daily. The request further stated that cars should not be washed or gardens watered until further notice. The cooperation of the public is asked.
