Three crime scene search and evidence collection vehicles, purchased at a total cost of $67,244 and partially funded by a federal grant in the amount of $54,000 made available through the State’s Division of Justice and Crime Prevention, were put into service today by the Department of State Police.
Colonel D. M. Slane said, in making the announcement, that the vehicles are designed to improve the Department’s capability of arriving on the scene of every major crime in which State Police assistance is requested and with all the necessary equipment and trained personnel to identify, collect, process and preserve evidence.
