Shenandoah National Park Superintendent Robert Jacobsen has announced the Park's decision to cancel further consideration of the proposed land exchange of 442 acres of privately owned land in Greene County for 405 acres of Shenandoah National Park in Rappahannock and Warren Counties.
According to Jacobsen, the decision to abandon plans for the land transfer came as a result of “strongly held and eloquently expressed feelings" against the swap.
