On Wednesday, July 12, the VP1 Extension Service will sponsor an educational tour for fruit growers beginning in the peach orchard of Henry Chiles at Crozet and then moving on to the Steeles Tavern Research Station for lunch and an afternoon tour of the Research Facilities for both livestock and fruit.
A contingent from the county will leave the Rappahannock Farmers Coop in Sperryville at 7:45 a.m. and assemble at the Chiles orchard between 9:30 and 10 a.m. At the Chiles peach orchard, fruit growers will see: close planting of Candor,
