June 28, the Flint Hill Fire Dept, was called to a fire behind the house of Louis Moore, Jr. in Flint Hill. This squad answered a fire call on a mountain off Rt. 622 July 1.
Also on July 1, the Flint Hill Rescue Squad carried Amy Sisk from the home of Mrs. Virgil Wilson in Flint Hill to Warren Memorial Hospital. The Sperryville Rescue Squad took Brew Burke from the home of Archie Dodson near Nethers to Culpeper Memorial Hospital July 2.
