Grigsby
A mass for Floyd Daniel Grigsby Sr. of Irvington,N.J. was held June 24, in St. Leo’s Church, following funeral services from the Hausman Funeral Home of Irvington.
Mr. Grigsby died June 20, 1978 in St. Luke’s Hospital, New York City, after undergoing heart surgery.
A son of Maggie Elizabeth Grinisley and the late Paul Grigsby, he was born June 1, 1930 in Rappahannock County. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post 16 in Irvington where he had lived for the last 23 years.
Survivors include his wife. Rose Battista Grigsby; a daughter, Joanne, and two sons, Floyd, Jr. and Michael, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Maggie Grigsby of Castleton; Five brothers, Dudley Grigsby, Mike Grigsby and Hugh Grigsby, all of Castleton, Charlie Grigsby of Sperryville and K. P. Grigsby of Woodville; and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Faulkner of Castleton and Mrs. Ada Burke of Wix>dville.
