Thanks to the cooperation of the Castleton Volunteer Fire Company, the Rappahannock historical Society benefit polo match will be held Sunday. September 17, on Fannon Field at 4 p.m.

The benefit match was originally scheduled for late August but almost steady rain for two weeks left the field too soggy and forced cancellation. Castleton's firemen had planned to hold their fund raising supper on September 17 but agreed to give the date up to the Historical Society when it proved to be the only feasible time for the rescheduled polo game. The firemen will have booths set up at Fannon Field with proceeds going towards their operations.

On September 17, Bill Fannon’s Rappahannock team will play opponents from Potomac, Maryland, in an eight-goal tournament
