The Rappahannock Panthers traveled to Central High School on Tuesday, December 5, to challenge the Central Falcons. With two hard fought games the Panthers came home losers, (but in heart they were winners.)
High scorer for the varsity team was Gary Settle with 18 points. Gary Leake was next highest with 9. The team worked very hard and almost succeeded. The final score of the Varsity game was Rappahannock 53 and Central 59. The J.V.’s played a hard game too. The high scorer for J.V. was Jimmy Tomko with 14 points, second highest was Ernie Fletcher with 5 points. Good try J.V. We know you'll be victorious when you come back from Luray Tuesday, December 12.
We hope to have a lot of support at the game Tuesday in Luray, and the Friday night game at Elkton High School. We wish both teams lots of luck.
