•' Eve Service
Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion services will be conducted at the Washington United Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m. and at the Sperryville United Methodist Church at 8:00 p.m. These services of carols and scripture readings will be highlighted by th£ celebration of the Sacrament - of the Lord’s Supper and the special recognition of the entrance of THE LIGHT into the world. All are welcome to worship on December 24.
Covered Dish
Die annual covered dish Christmas party for Flint Hill families and guests is scheduled for Sunday, December 17 in the fire hall at 5:30 p.m. The party is sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary to the Flint Hill Fire Company.
Special Play
There will be a Christmas play entitled, “A Little Child Shall Lead Them”, at the Blackoak Baptist Church, Route 729, Eggbornsville on Saturday, December 16, 1978 at 7:30. Everyone is invited to attend.
Scouts Sell
Citrus Fruit
Boy Scout Troop 36 o Flint Hill once again wil offer county residents th< chance to buy fresh citrus fruits at reasonable prices foi the holiday season.
“We had our fruit sale last year and it went over very well,” scoutmaster Paul Nichols said Monday. “We're hoping that the sales will go well again this year.”
The scouts expect shipments of Hamlin and naval oranges, tangelos, tangerines and Indian River grapefruit to arrive by Dec. 13. Orders for fruit by the case or half case can be placed now by calling Nichols at 675-3500, John R. Eastham at 6753257, Scout Rob Brown at 987-8231, James Lilly at 6366536 or by contacting any member of Troop 36.
The scouts will get SI for each case of fruit they sell with proceeds to be used to finance various scouting projects.
