Wakefield
The annual Christmas program at Wakefield Country Day School at Huntly will take place on Friday evening, Dec. 15, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The traditional procession of students to the Creche will be followed by the proclamation of the Gospel account of the Nativity, and a play written by Mrs. Pamela Lynn entitled, “The Innkeeper”. The leading roles in this five act Christmas drama are played by Todd Landis of Front Royal, John Piper of Hume, and Jennifer Kline of Crest Hill. The musical part of the program, under the direction of Mrs. Gloria Harris, will be interspersed between the acts of the play.

Day Worship
A celebration through Word and Sacrament of the Birth of Jesus Christ will be conducted on Christmas Day at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. “This service of carols, scripture readings and the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is designed to aid us as we seek to welcome the Christ child into our hearts and our homes on this Christmas Day,” said the Rev. Vickie Pittard. “All of the community are welcome to worship with us.”
Living Nativity
The United Methodists ot the Rappahannock Charge (Sperryville, Washington, Willis Chapel and Flint Hill United Methodist Churches) will present a living nativity again this year in the shed on the George Davis property on Rt. 211 east of Washington. This year the presentations will be on Friday, December 22 and Saturday, December 23 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
All of the people you will see and all of the animals will be live. The Christmas story will be narrated on the halfhour as the characters take their places. Many in the community attended last year and found this to be a very moving experience. This year the experience can be yours for only a trip to Washington.
