Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Leake Creel were conducted Friday at the Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper by the Rev. Richard Fox. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Creel, 67, of Culpeper died Tuesday. August 12. 1980 at the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville.
She was a native of Rappahannock County and had lived in Culpeper for many years. She was the daughter of the late James Oscar and Maggie Corbin Leake.
Survivors include five daughters. Mrs. Emma Peyton, Mrs. Frances Johnson. Mrs. Peggy Butler and Mrs. Gayle Hawkins, all of Culpeper, and Mrs. Hazel Southard of Cincinnati. Ohio; two sons, James Creel of Littlestown, Pa., and Milton Creel of Culpeper; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Tuel, Mrs. Agnes Bryson and Helen Creel, all of Culpeper, 27 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
