Mr. and Mrs. Edwards reared a family of eleven children and all except two of them were present for the anniversary celebration. They lived on the farm of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Latham where Buford was employed for 52 years.
Their children are Robert of New York City: Buford Jr., Utica. Mich.; Ivin, Wilbert, William. Dora, Elizabeth and Mary of Washington, D. C.; Edith of Fredericksburg; all of whom were present for the party; Warner of Germany just retiring from the U. S. Army; and Sgt. Earl Edwards with the U. S. Army stationed at Ft. Benning. Ga. who were unable to join the family.
