Castleton Fire
and Rescue wins
two trophies
Our very own Castleton Fire and Rescue Department won two trophies last Thursday in the Culpeper Firemen’s Parade, one for the Best Appearing Commercial Pumper and the other the Best Appearing Basic Ambulance.
Virgil Payne of Aaron Mountain Road was chosen as the volunteer for the Rappahannock Seniors and received a beautiful certificate at the Five County Senior meeting held at Graves Mountain Lodge on Friday.
Congratulations to Anthony Thornhill who has graduated from Liberty Theological Seminary with a Masters Degree of Divinity, and Concentration in Biblical Studies. He is the greatgrandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Butler, Sr. of Boston.
Kelly Bragg has returned home from her first year at Pennsylvania Bible College and has been selected to go as part of a team on a Mission trip to India.
Our community is saddened by the loss of one of our oldest citizens, Herbert H. Hash, Sr., 97, who passed away last week at Culpeper Regional Hospital.
Also sympathy goes out to James Rutherford and family of Scrabble Road, upon the passing of his brother, Roger, on Saturday.
Condolences to the family of our Boston resident, Ben Griffith who passed away.
