Game and Inland Fisheries, and previously served as a senior policy advisor to former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner. Hazel examined some of the traits that make WCDS a unique place of study; congratulated the graduates on their numerous accomplishments, and charged them to follow their dreams and continue practicing “the “Wakefield Way" in all of their future endeavors. Following Hazel’s" remarks. Mrs. Grove, assisted by college advisor Marsha Dowell, presented the seniors with their diplomas.
The closing remarks were given by Marguerite Beattie, who gave the Valedictory Address. Beattie graduated summa cum laude. with an advanced classical diploma and will be attending the University of Virginia. Beattie described her fellow graduates as “each uniquely wonderful."
