While students served each course, teachers poured the wines accompanying each one.
The first course was a salad of heirloom tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, followed by either shellfish strudel or mushroom and asparagus strudel. The main course was either a “Flight of Lamb" which included Iamb moussaka or “Garden Folly” which included vegetarian moussaka. Guests finished dinner with strawberry rhubarb crisp.
The 2008 recipients . of the Passion Award are:
• Alana Cloud, a 2008 graduate, who received funds necessary to visit Whittier College in California where she has a scholarship;
• Robbie Swann, a 2006 graduate, who will receive funds to attend a one-week course at the Culinary Institute of America this summer;
• Natasha Webster, a 2008 graduate, who will receive funds to help her attend Lord Fairfax Community College. Her dream is to own her own business.
• Hannah Gall, a 2008 graduate, who will receive .funds to axjvojc the cost of books during her freshman year in the nursing program at Shenandoah University.
