In figuring up the results the amount of feed given the pigs on the dry lot was divided by the pounds gain. This gave the amount of feed required to produce one pound of pork. On this basis it was calculated how much pork the corn fed on pasture would produce. This was subtracted from the total gain and the difference credited to the pastures. On this basis one re of bluegrass produced 867 poun' of pork and one acre of clover pasture 748 pounds. Figuring this pork at the conservative price of seve dollars per hundredweight the bluegrass pasture was worth $25.69 per r.cre and the clover pasture $52.36. This difference of $26.67 per acre shows in an unmls takeable way the value of clover for hog pasture.
