This money was raised through. !he help of the Auxiliary to the 5re company, which helped the :ommittee to sponsor a silver tea ield at the fire house November 14, and also from a benefit movie »t Washington Theatre last week, rhe third grade of Washington ;chool sold the tickets, for tha benefit movie. ’ -Nine of the ‘boxwoods set out ivere purchased from the Waynes>oro .Nurseries and two of them were donated by Miss Lucy Catherine Bowie, editor of R,appalannock News. The committee plans to eoninue their plans for beautifying ho Courthouse lawn in the future by planting additional boxwoods along the "walks to the 3ourthou.se and the Clerk’s ©fice. Some of this boxwood has >sen donated already by some ©f -he citizens of the county.

Dr. and Mfs. C. A. Deling of Montclair, N. J., have announced the birth of twin sons born Wednesday, December 14. Mrs. Deling is the former Miss Helen Phillips whose family were formerly owners of “Spring Acres” in Harris Hollow.
