Give Or Take?
Our Master says “It is more blessed to giv'e than to receive.” . How true and what a fine time to see this at work.
I have found that by giving Christmas presents to others and not expecting any, I can enjoy Christmas and the real spirit of Crldtandd more. It does so much to me to see the look of gratitude on someone’s face. The gleeful realization on a 1 little child’s face when you give him a new toy, realization Jhat someone loves him enough to give him this, and that it is his. The love and thanks on an older person’3 face, when he receives a gift and knows by receiving it that he is not forgotten and that he is loved and cherished and then the adolescent, the gay carefree teenagers, maybe a little brusque in their thanks, a gay retort, a carelessly said thanks, and yet they are proud and thankful that they too have received it.
Last but not least are the parents—’how happy it makes me to give to them, to try to show my love a little by giving them something to bring light ' into ''their eyes and words'of love and ^thanks to their lips.
In this giving there is one very important point. The joy of giving does not lay in the cost of the gift. Regardless of the gift, big or little, the sentimental value is what should he looked at and^ appreciated. Et’a wrong for us to spend money that we need for our welfare and that of our chil
