14 Graduate In County
First Commencement
The first annual commencement of the newly consolidated Rappahannock County High School was held last night in the school auditorium with 14 graduates receiving their diplomas from Q. D. Gasque, superintendent of schools.
Honor place went to Miss Charlotte Pullen, who gave (the valedictory, and takes her place in history as the top student of the first graduating class. Second scholastic honors went to Miss Betty Dellinger, who delivered the salutatory.

Two numbers of special music, “Dedication” by Franz, and “Send out Thy Light” by Gounod, were given by the glee club under the direction of Miss Charlotte Golladay, music supervisor.
Rev. A. Paul Thompson pronounced the invocation and H. B. Winfrey, principal, presented the graduates.
The first class of Rappahannock County High School, 1951, consisted of ten girlg and four boys: Miss Peggy Anne Black, Miss Barbara Ann Brown, Miss Louise Virginia Cloud, Miss Betty Jean Dellinger, Miss Phyllis Eloise Hudson, Miss Christine Marie Jenkins, Missa Della Mae Mills, Miss Charlotte Anne Pullen, Miss Lois Beverley Walter, Miss Helen Louise Zinn, and Frank Daniel Coffey, Jr., Luther Daniel Harrington, Marion Gilbert Scott, and Leslie Leland Walter.
