County News Notes

Mr. and Mrs. (Frank Jenkins were guests over the week end of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Perry.

Mrs. B. M. Miller and Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett were in Richmond Tuesday and Wednesday to attend the graduation of Dr. Brooke Miller Moffett, from the Medical College of Virginia.

Dr. and Mrs. T. H. Turner and daughter IJmily Anne of South Hill and Mr. and Mrs. B. N. Eubank of Roanoke, were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Turner.

Mrs. C. B. Johnson taught school for Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett T uesday and Wednesday.

Mrs. Willis A. Dearing spent a week recently at Glenway near Huntly. Mr. and Mrs. Dearing expect to return soon for hte summer months.

Mrs. George W. Brown, who has been confined to her room by a sprained ankle sustained in a fall near her home, is slowly improving and by the use of crutches i is able to’ walk around the house.

Judge Ira Partlow of Welch, W. Va., is the guest of his brotherin-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Updike at their home on Main street. Sunday Mrs. Pete Scudere of Front Royal was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Updike. In the afternoon Mrs. Updike, Judge Partlow and Mrs. Scudere visited Mrs. B. R. Cannon at her home near Castleton.
