Here are some other tips:
Don’t apply lacquer, varnish, shellac or so-called “plastic ’ finishes to asphalt and lubber‘tile floors. Don’t allow spilled'food or, water- to remain on the floor. Don’t use strong soap or caustic cleaning solnoiuts, turpentine, gasoline, etc. Ringe thoroughly after every washing with soap or synthetic detergent. Don’t wait for a new floor to show wear before waxing. Apply a protective coating as soon as the cement has dried. Don’t let the wax film wear through in hedvy traffic t spots. Don’t allow dirt and grit ai accumulate for days. . . the more grit on the floor, the more wear. Don’t use an oil mop. This may damage the floor and will soften a wax coating.
