A photograph of Mrs. Mary Willis Shelburne appeared in a recent issue of a. Richmond paper, firing an account of some of her poems and other -writings.
Mrs. Shelburne, who has relatives and friends in Rappahannock, is secretary to Cannon Brown of tile Cathedral, Washington, D.C. She is a friend of MrsFrank Moffett, and with her daughter, Loraine, a talented musician, has often visited in the 'Moffett home in Washington.

, The Baptist General Association held its 128th annual meeting in Norfolk, November 8, 7, and 8. Rev. and Mrs. M. E. Sliger were messengers to the convention. During their stay in Norfolk they Stayed at the Monticello hotel. • There were about 450 Baptist minisfbfh in attendance for the sessions, held in Center Theatre.
