Civilian Defense Includes
Nurses Classes
Dr Mack I. Shanholtz, State Health Commissioner, has announced that he has received a report from Miss Olive J. 'Faulkner, Chief Nursing Service for Civilian Defense, stating that approximately100 instructors have been trained and are now ready, to start Classes for all professional nurses in “The Nursing Aspects of Atomic Warfare.*'
The classes will include many inactive nurses as well as those Currently employed in industry, hospitals, private duty and public health. The material -which will be used in these classes is also being integrated into the basic program of all schools of nursing throughout the state, Dr. Shanholtz said.
