Cream % c. of fat and add i c. sugar and well beaten eggs- 80ft -V* c. flour, t. cinnamon and i teaspoon soda together. Mix with 1 c. rolled oats and % c. raisins and add to first mixture alternately with % c. milk (make a very thick batter more flour may be added if necessary). Drop by spoonful on buttered pan and .bake in moderate oven for 16 min. ,or until brown. Nuts, dates or chopped figs might be added instead of raisins. - Miss Nellie Johnson.
