Sperryville Locker Plant reports orders for the O’Bannon beef are coming in nicely so looks like we ean have the “Meat Selection Demonstration.” What’s necessary now is to find the man who “knows his onions about meat.”
The owners of Lee Way Farm are to be congratulated on the improvements they have made directed at making farming chores easier, more profitable and safer to both man and animal. Just recently a cattle guard has been constructed at the main entrance. Portable lambing pens have been saved that otherwise would have been lost; an infra red lamp has been used when needed. Also holding and cutting pens have been constructed which also will serve as a bull lot, with loading chute and squeeze provided as well. Look e‘m over.
Tickets for the 4-H Benefit Supper to be held Saturday, March 15 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Washington Fire Hall have gone on sale.
