The Clubs of Rappahannock are celebrating National 4-H Club week March 1-9 by window displays in the local stores throughout the county. These displays include posters, pictures of 4-H’ers and their activities and projects, and samples of projects participate ed in by the 4-H members.

A group of Flint Hill ladies interested in tying springs met with Mrs. Norman Flythe on Monday, February 25. The group tied tire springs in 4 overstuffed cushions and put on webbing and tied springs in chairs. Mrs. Wade Pullen helped with the demonstra. tion.

The second day of an upholstery clinic was held at the home of Mrs. Henry Sisk, Thursday, February 28. Instructions included sewing on padding, measuring, and cutting upholstery and the making of slip covers. This clinic included work on three overstuffed chairs and one sofa. Members participating were Mrs. Milton Sisk, Mrs. Henry Sisk, Mrs. Marshall Jenkins, Mrs. Ethel Jenkins, and Miss Catherine Orange. I am certain all enjoyed the delicious dinner by the hostess and her helpers.

Mrs. D. D. Miller entertained a group of Washington H.D. members desiring reseat chairs, Friday, February 29. Split bottoms and woven cane seats were completed that day by Mrs. Wade Pullen, Mi’s. Grace Reid, Mrs. Ethel Racer, Mrs. Mabel Racer, Mrs. Harry Rutherford* Mrs. Jessie Rowzie, and Mrs. D. D. Miller.
