Wild Garlic
Spraying with 2,4-fl in kite winter will help control the troublesome wild garlic.
John M. Amos, weed control specialist at VP1, says that regardless of where the garlic grows, if sprays are to toe used, they should be used before new bublets begin to form in the soil. The bublets begin to form in late March, or early in April. The temperature should be‘near 60/degrees F. fpr best results.
In most cases where the garlic is growing in lawns or grass pastures 2,4-D ester at 2 to 21 pounds aeid equivalent per acre will give good results. Lower dosages and certain precautions must be taken when 2,4-D is applied to clover grass pastures.
