John Strode Barbour, 89, died Tuesday, May 6, after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, at his home in Fairfax with interment in Fairvew Cemetery, Culpeper. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Grimsley Barbour, daughter of the late Judge Daniel A. Grimsley, arid a sister, Mrs. C. B. Wallace of Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Barbour was. the last surviving member of. the Virginia constitutional convention that met in 1902-1903. He moved to Fairfax to enter law practice in 1907.’ , |
