amissville organizes P-T A: ELECTS OFFICERS * ' The parents and teachers of the ^ Amissville Elementary School met Thursday, April 24 atjl p.m. for the purpose of organizing the Amissville Parent-Teacher Association with Vernon Justis presiding. After an informative discussion led by Mrs: Leslie Fox Keyser, elementary supervisor of Warren and Rappahannock Counties, the following officers were elected. Mrs. Ralph Rowzie, president; W. A. Laing Jr., vice president; Mrs. Antue Cook, second vice presi- > dent« Mrs. A. W. Woodward, sott^ tary; and Mrs., A. C,, Latham Jr., > 'treasurer. The organization met again Thursday May 1 at 8 p.m. At this meeting . the following committee chairmen! were named: 4 Membership and Publicity, Garland , Riley; Program. W. A. Laing Jr. Ways and Means, Mrs. Vernon1 - Ju*tis; Health and Safety, Mrs. W. W. Walter: Recreation and Hospital, Mrs. W.- A. Laing Jr.; Nominating, Mrs. Sarah Jenkins. Twenty-three members were reported enrolled. Next regular meeting is scheduled for Thursday June 12; 8 p.m. All interested persons are invited to attend. :
