A good many years back, information reached my ears—sometimes through my hide—that my education was being neglected and that 1 was going to grow up in ignorance. (I did.) Teachers informed me it was nay lack of effort and study. Mother said it was laziness 'and 'orneriness. A few folks stated it was plain dumbness.
State it how you may, I know I didn’t get all from my schooling I should have. Through the years I've tried to shift the blame on other people or on circumstances. So far the shifting of blame has sounded pretty stupid every time I tried it, but maybe now I've reached the answer.
