High School May Day Features ‘Portrait of Spring*

“Portrait of Spring* is the theme for the May Day program at Rappahannock County High School tomorrow, Friday, May 9, at 2 p.m. on the Athletic Field.

The program portrays two phases of spring: “April showers bring May flowers” and “In spring a young man’s fancy ...” The former is suggested by ballet numbers: snowflakes, sunshine, raindrops, which cause the flowers to awaken and bloom. The second phase pictures the' various associations of spring: lovers in the park, birds, butterflies, bees, basball, marbles, and dancing.

The public is invited to attend tho program.
