What are the facts about Social Security, that Vice-President Barkley so carefully neglected to tell his radio audience? Read them and .weep! ,

1. To date, more than 20-billion dollars have been paid into the Old-Age And Survivors Insurance Trust Fund (the high-falutin name for Social Security).

2. To date, only slightly more - than 6 billion dollars have been paid out in benefits.

3. Present assets of the Fund are listed as 315,213,025,087.35. Actually, however; there is only 300 million dollars in cash on hand. The remainder consists of IOITs.

4. The difference between the alleged and the actual assets of the Fund have been used by the Federal Government to meet ordinary expenses, such as foreign aid, price supports, salaries, in fact,' for everything but Social Security.
