One of the largest funeral services ever held in Rappahannock county was conducted from Reynolds Memorial Baptist church Friday, November 14, with Rev. S. Felton Carter officiating. Mr. Jenkins's fellow employees in the post office from Culpeper to Front Royal served as honorary |>allbearers, with Dr. 1 P. Snead, James W. Fletcher, D. D. Miller, Arthur Miller, M. M. Hawkins, Edward Estes, Tom Jenkins and Earl Wayland serving as pallbearers. Interment was in Fairview cemetery, Culpeper.
A son of Joel Booten Jenkins and Mary Susan Jenkins, Luther Jenkins was born and lived his entire life in Rappahannock county. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Della Fincham Jenkins.; four children, Mrs. Willie Butler of Brandy, Mrs. Marshall Jenkins, Luther S. Jenkins, Jr., and John Walker Jenkins of Sperryville; and nine grandchildren. Eight
