Amissville VFD Receives
Large Cash Donation
President Thomas Tear of the Amissville Volunteer Fire Departr ment has announced receipt of $150 as a donation from J. W. Minor of Amissville.
This is the largest cash donation yet received by the fire department. Other substantial donors have been C. M. M. Green of Amissville, who gave $50 in cash plus all the lumber used for erecting the stands for the Amissville Fire Company’s Carnival, and W. A. Laing of Amissville, who gave $75 in cash.
The turkey shoot held November 7 under the directiion of A. C. Latham netted $95.95 for the department, which wishes to thank all those who participated.
