M;ss C. A. Williams and mother, had as their Sunday guests Mrs. Julia Boddie and Miss Jacola Powell, teachers at Washington School. She also had as her guests for supper Monday night Miss B. B. Austin, teacher at Scrabble, and Dr. V. Roberts, the dentist who is working in the schools of Rappahannock Co.
Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wigington, Sunday were Mr. Wigington’s broher and sisterin-law, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Wigington and John Jr. of Burke.
Freddie Harry Jackson spent Saturday in Culpeper with his friends
Mrs. Blanche Fletcher spent the week end in Washington, D. C. with her daughters and sister.
Mrs. Margaret Hunter spent the week end in Washington, D. C. with her son, Charles Hunter and daugher, Miss Willie Hunter of Landover, Maryland. She was accompanied home on Sunday night by Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Carter, daughter and grandson, who also spent the week end in D. Otoith their daughter and sister, Mrs. Ruth Wall.
Mrs. Andrew Lewis spent the week end in D. C. visiting her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Cliffen. Dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. Mattie Freeman and family were Mr. and Mrs. Leroy J. Freeman and children, Ann, Billy and Leroy Stevenson, their grandmother and great grandmother. Miss Lela Roy, and George W. Jordan of Smedley.
Trooper William A. Buntin installed the Scrabble school Safety patrolmen in a very impressive way. The patrolmen are Jane Wallace, Muriel Frye, Gene Williams and Russell Aylor. This was greatly appreciated by the teachers and pupils.
There will be a Turkey Dinner given at the home of Mrs. Lucy Childs on Sunday, December 21. This is for the benefit of the Youth Club of Shiloh Baptist church. Price of dinner, 50c.
